| Ingredients |
- Onions-3
- Garlic-5
- Tomato-1 Pound
- Dhania-1 tbsp
- Jeera-1 tsp
- Red Chillies-6
- Poppy seeds-1 tbsp
- Grated Coconuts-2 tbsp (full)
- Roasted gram-1 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves
- Sugar
- Salt
- Oil
- For Seasonning
- Mustard-1 tsp
- Curry leaves-6
- Asafoetida-2 pinch

| Methods |
- Boil tomatoes with enough water to cover for 5 to 10 minutes.When cool,strain the water ,peel the skin and grind it.
- Fry Dhania,jeera and red chillies in little oil .
- Dry roast poppy seed in a pan till brown.
- Add grated coconut,roasted gram along with roasted items and grind to a paste.
- Heat oil in a sauce pan ,season it withmustard,add cut garlic and fry till brown ,add finely onions,fry till translucent.
- Pour tomato puree .ground mixture , salt and sugar.
- Boil till it becomes thick .
- Garnish with cut coriander leaves .
- Serve hot with Idlis or polkas.
