  • All purpose flour-2cups (maida)
  • Dry yeast-2 tsp
  • Sugar-1tbsp
  • Butter-3 tblsp
  • Plain Yogurt-2 tbsp
  • Milk –1/2 cup
  • 1tbsp –ajwain
  • ¼ tsp saffron extract
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
  1. Add sugar and yeast to warm milk.
  2. Allow 30 minutes for the yeast to foam up and then add yogurt to milk mixture,leave it for 10 minutes.
  3. Finally add the flour with ajwain little by little to the milk mixture .
  4. The dough becomes little sticky .
  5. Rest the dough for fermenting overnight or 10 hrs.
  6. Divide the dough into 10 balls and roll them into flat thick round and sprinkle some saffron extract.
  7. Heat the tawa hot with little oil or butter cook the dough on both sides well.
  8. Serve hot with curry and raita.
