Ingredients
  • For seasonning
  • Mustard-1tsp
  • Urad dhal-1/2tsp
  • Curry leaves-10
  • Asafoetida-2 pinch
  • Grind to powder(Dry roast)
  • Coconut grated-1/2cup(dry roast on tawa)
  • Red chilli-3
  • Whole dhania-2tbsps
  • channa dhal-1tsp
  • Jeera-1tsp
  • Rice-2cups(uncooked)
  • Onion-1/4 cup(chopped)
  • Bendi(ladysfinger)(okra)-2cups(chopped thin)
  • Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
  • Coriander leaves-1/4cup(chopped)
  • Roasted peanuts-1/4cup
  • Oil as needed
  • Salt to taste
Methods
  1. Heat the pan with oil season it with mustard,urad dhal,curry leaves and asafoetida.
  2. Then add the onion and bendi together saute till their are cooked well.
  3. In the mean while,cook the rice with right amount of water and set it aside.
  4. Add the ground mixture,turmeric powder and salt fry it for a while.
  5. Finally add the rice and mix it well.Garnish it with Coriander leaves and roasted peanuts.
  6. Serve hot with curry and raita.
