| Ingredients |
- Milk 1 litre
- 8-10 cardamoms crushed
- Saffron 1 tsp
- Sugar (amount given below)
- Warm milk 2 tbsps

| Methods |
- Prepare curd from 1 litre milk
- When formed, put it in a muslin cloth and hang it inside the refrigerator for all the water to drain for 3-4 hours
- Remove from cloth
- For 1 cup thickened curd add 1 1/4 cup sugar
- Add cardamom powder
- Soak saffron in 2 tsp warm milk for 5 mins and add to the mixture
- Heat the mixture in a kadai, stirring constantly
- Test the mixture for thickness by rolling a little between fingers
- If it forms a ball then remove from flame
- Spread evenly in a square tray and leave to cool
- When cool, cut into burfi-size pieces
