Ingredients
  • Rava - 1 cup
  • Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
  • Maida (All purpose flour) - 1/2 cup
  • Pepper seeds - 1 spoon
  • Ginger(finely chopped) - few
  • cumin seeds - 1 spoon
  • onion (finely chopped) - 1/4 cup
  • curry leaves (optional)
  • cashewnuts (optional)
  • Green chillies - 4 (finely chopped)
  • grated carrot(optional)
  • salt - to taste
  • Oil
  • Water
Methods
  1. Soak 1 cup Rava in water for 10 minutes,and add 1/2 cup wheat flour and 1/2 cup
  2. maida,water & salt into it & mix it well.
  3. Heat the oil in the kadai and add cumin seeds,pepper seeds,cashewnuts.And then add
  4. chopped onions,curry leaves,Green chillies & grated carrot,fry it until
  5. its brown,finally add these into the Rava mix. Make sure the mixture
  6. is very thin(thinner than the dosa batter).
  7. Heat the tawa (the tawa should be very hot while u are pouring the batter)
  8. and take one ladleful of mixture and spread on the tawa starting from the
  9. sides and finishing off in the middle as rava dosa cannot be spreaded
  10. like ordinary dosa. Drizzle oil in it.
  11. When it becomes golden brown turn it over.
  12. If the mixture becomes thick after making few dosas add little water to it.
  13. Serve with sambar and chutney
