Tofu Cutlet

Ingredients
  • Tofu - (extra firm)- 1box- 10oz
  • onions - 1/4 cup
  • spinach- 1/4 cup
  • Garlic- 2 cloves (finely chopped)
  • Green Onions-1tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Bread Crumbs - 1 cup
  • Garam Masala - 1tsp
  • Green Chilli -4 (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil or butter
Methods
  1. Wash the whole bar of tofu under cold running water .
  2. Pat it dry and mash well into small pieces & drain excess water.
  3. On the other hand,saute spinach and cook well with little splash of water& set it aside.
  4. Heat 2 tbsp of oil saute onions ,green onions ,garlic ,green chillies &
  5. garam masala ,add the mixture to the mashed tofu and add salt if necessary.
  6. Finally add in the bread crumbs,spinach and mix well.
  7. Heat a tawa or skillet with 4 tbsp of oil or butter,make a lemon sign ball and pat flat & make a patty.
  8. When the skillet is ready,lay 3 to 4 tofu patty depending upon the size of the skillet.
  9. In medium flame make both sides of the tofu cutlets golden brown and remove from hest drain excess oil.
  10. Serve tofu cutlets with coriandar chutney or sweet & sour sauce of your choice.
