| Ingredients |
- quail (Kaadai)- 2
- Salt- 1tsp (or as required)
- Chilli powder-1/2 tsp
- Green chilli- 2
- Red chilli - 2
- Ginger- 1cm
- Garlic- 2 pods
- Lemon/tamarind paste- 1tsp
- onion- 1/2
- curry leaves-10-12
- Oil- 2 tablespoon

| Methods |
- 1. Clean the kaadai and cut it into half.
- 2. Grind a paste with green chillies, red chillies, garlic, ginger, lemon/tamarind paste.
- 3. marinate the kaadai halves with the marinate and salt for half hour.
- 4. In a nonstick pan heat oil, add curry leaves and onion.
- 5. Brown the onions.
- 6. Now add the kaadai and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 8-10 mins.
- 7. Now add rest of the marinade and keep stirring to fry the kaadai very well. it should start browning.
- 8. Once the kaadai is cooked well and the marindae is all dried, the dish is ready.
- 9. Place the halves on a serving dish, put the browned onions from the pan over it. garnish with coriander and lemon wedges.
