Ingredients
  • Toor dhal – ¼ cup
  • Chana dhal- ¼ cup
  • Moog dhal- ¼ cup
  • Urad dhal - 1/8 cup
  • Idli rice- 3 cup
  • Coconut- 1 tbsp
  • Red Chillies- 4 to 5
  • Onions-1 cup
  • Murungak keerai –2 cup
  • Curry leaves –1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds-1 tsp
  • Asafetida- ¼ tsp
  • Oil or ghee
  • Salt to taste
Methods
  1. Soak toor dhal, urad dhal,moog dhal and channa dhal for 2 to 3 hrs and grind onto a fine paste with coconut and red chillies .
  2. Mix onions,curry leaves.murungak keerai,cumin seeds, asafetida and salt to taste.so everything blends well.
  3. Let it stand for at least 1 hr before before making aadai .
  4. Heat tawa hot enough with oil or ghee and pour the batter in it and shape it like circle.
  5. Close it with a lid and add some oil & ghee.
  6. Cook till golden brown on both sides.
  7. Serve hot with chutney, sambar…etc .
