| Ingredients |
- Raw rice-2 cups
- Moong dhal-1/2 cup
- Mustard-1 tsp
- Jeera-1/2 tsp
- Whole black pepper-2 tbsp
- Dry Red Chilli-4
- Asafoetida-1/4 tsp
- Ginger-1 inch piece(finely chopped
- Cashew nuts-3 tbsp
- Curry leaves
- Coriander leaves-1 cup(chopped)
- Salt to taste
- water
- Ghee

| Methods |
- Wash rice and dhal together,add 2:1 water ratio to pressuer cook with salt to taste for 25 minutes.
- Heat a pan with ghee season it with murtard,jeera,whole black pepper,dry red chilli,curry leaves,ginger,Cashew nuts and asafoetida.
- Mix it well with cooked rice and dhal.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and cashew nuts.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney,vada,sambar..etc.
