Ingredients
  • Maida flour-1/4kg(ounce)
  • Gram dhal-1/4kg(8 ounce)
  • Jaggery-100 grams
  • Shredded coconut-100 grams
  • cardamon-2 pod
  • oil to fry
  • Salt t taste
Methods
  1. Make a soft dough with maida,warm water,oil and salt,Keep it aside for 2 hrs.
  2. Cook gram dhal in a pressure cooker with salt and water.
  3. Mix the dhal,coconut,salt,jaggery,crushed cardamon and make a smooth filling.
  4. Take some dough and spread it into broad chapati.
  5. Keep firm ball of filling in the middle and fold from all sides.
  6. Slowly press the filled poli to spread into a broad.(or)
  7. Make two tin chapati's,Spread the filling evenly in one of the chapati's cover the other chapati.
  8. Seal and smooth out the corners carefully.Deep fry in oil.
  9. serve hot with evening tiffin.
