Ingredients
  • Onion- 4 medium
  • Gram flour-1/4 cup
  • Rice flour-3tbsp
  • All purpose flour-2tbsp
  • Baking soda-1/4 tsp
  • Chilli powder-1tsp
  • Saffron color -optional
  • Water
  • Asafoetida-2 pinch
  • Salt to taste
Methods
  1. Heat the kadai with oil to deep fry.
  2. On the other side,cut the onions (ring shaped) and seperate it from each other,wash it pat it dry.
  3. Mix gram flour,rice flour, all purpose flour,baking powder,chilli powder,saffron (optional),asafoetida ,salt, water and all together make it into a batter.
  4. Dip the onions in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown
  5. Serve hot with chutney and sauce.
